"Hinton seemed like a interesting place to visit, but infortunately we did not get a chance to see much of it. We were travelling from Saskatoon to the interior of B.C. and Hinton and the Holiday Inn was a place for a stopover. Another time it would be nice to stay a little longer and have a bit of a look around."

"The hotel was fine. Your service however is overpriced and clumsy and I will never use it again. I am informing all who will listen. I will give you all the negative publicity I can muster. I paid almost 160$ for a room that is normally worth $126. Enjoy the 34 bucks becuase it's the last you'll get from me. I've learned that it's better to phone the hotel directly. By the way, your customer service is slow, at times rude, and inconsistent- I was alternatively quoted American and Canadian dollars. My wife was informed by some pompous bum answering your telephone that we should have read the website more carefully. I believe the word "discout" is up there near the top of the page but we received anything but. You deserve to go out of business. Have a nice day."

"Pool and hot tub area very dirty, no service in the restaurant,i felt the person serving did not want to be there, ice machine out of order front desk had no idea there was a problem. The stay with this hotel was not a good one."

"extremelly noise. I could hear the shower from next room, I even could hear the TV!!!!! There is a lot of robbery in the parking lot and there is no action plan to slove this."

"Although I enjoyed my stay there, $149 per night is extremely pricey for the average family. I'm sure it is policy everywhere, but the fact that usual discounts like federal employee or AAA aren't allowed during high season sends the clear message to patrons that hotels don't care about value for customers because they don't have to. If people need a place to stay badly enough then they will pay the hefty price. We thought the cost would be offset because kids eat free but when we got to the restaurant at 9:10 pm we were told that it closed at 9:00. We ended up having to go elsewhere and miss out on the deal of having our kids' meals paid for. There ought to be a policy of staff mentioning what time things close as soon as people arrive, especially when it is pretty close to closing time. Although this seems insignificant, when people have travelled all day and are wanting a place to rejuvinate, clarity about the accessibility of food is crucial. Hotels should assume that their customers are extremely tired and pre-occupied, thereby will miss asking the right questions. Based on all this, at the price of 149/night, we did not feel that we got our money's worth at all. I will likely not stay there again."

"I thought Holiday Inns were usually good and enjoyable places to stay. Not in Hinton - the quality was way down - bed was awful - pluggings kept cutting out, and the TV - very cheaply built - one bathroom, one sink, need another sink and shaving and makeup area with proper lighting - talking about lighting - not all the lamps worked - bed was too close to the fridge, couldn't open it properly - coat closet very small and squished into a little corner beside the bed when there would have been lots of room by the entrance - hmmmm"

"I reserved this hotel room specifically because it had a pool. We arrived and the pool was under construction and we were not advised of this at all. We do not stay in hotels very often and this is a treat for my children. Needless to say we were quite disappointed. The room however was fine."
