"Stayed in a first floor room with a room number in the 130s. The dining room was directly above the room which made it noisier. Usually heard chairs moving/dragging on the floor until the restaurant closed at 11 PM. Also noisy again early when the restaurant opened for breakfast. Don't try to sleep in in a room in this hotel area. Also, rooms in this lower level area surrounded by housekeeping staff supply rooms. The housekeeping staff are up and at it it seemed by 7 AM making all kind of noise. Didn't seem to worry about all of the guest rooms near by. Tried to avoid but no other rooms available. Will look elsewhere next time to Jasper."

"Many rooms (like mine) are in the basement of the building. Between several rooms there are doors (usually locked) through which almost everything can be heard from the next room. Taking such things into account, the room was much too expensive."

"I enjoyed the atmosphere at the hotel and felt safe with my family of 4 staying there. I thought the location was convenient and easily accessable to most attractions without the traffic of the downtown area. The restaurant could have been more 'Family Friendly' and would suggest eating somewhere off site if you have a larger family."

"We had to change rooms due to poor plumbing in hotel creating a lot of noise at night, first room was on the ground floor where noise was terible - all family got woken at several times during night. Second room was better on top floor but still could hear the toliets flushing and water rushing through the pipes. A shame, since hotel was nice apart from this."

"Your front desk staff was fine. Your hotel seemed to be overbooked. When we needed extra towels, they were not available. The room was hot, and to cool it down we had to open the windows and allow bright courtyard lights in with the cool air. The biggest problem came with the pre-arranged payments. Ultimately they were honored, but multiple members of your staff suggested they might not be honored, and we might have to consider alternate forms of payment. On this issue, they were rude."

"My over-riding impression was that everything inside was dark and dismal.
Some brighter lights in the room would have made some difference.
Perhaps cleaning out the filter on the air conditioner would have made it cool the room some."

"Swimming pool is too small for the volume of users. Need to add sitting area for adults to supervise their children while in the tiny pool. Outdoor hot tubs are a nice touch, but again, not enough for the number of users."

Lobstick Lodge
The two-diamond Lobstick Lodge is nestled below the pine forests of the Pyramid Bench, one block from Connaught Drive. Its name is derived from trees which had all but the top few branches cut off, called lobsticks, used as trail markers and rendezvous points by the early voyageurs nearly two hundred years ago. The hotel is four miles from Pyramid Lakes and Jasper Tramway, six miles from Jasper Park Golf Course, and nine miles from Maligne Canyon.
The Country Inn Family Restaurant is a casual place to enjoy breakfast and/or supper. Skyline Lounge provides a relaxing fireplace next to which to enjoy your favorite beverages. If not exploring the various nearby activities, why not enjoy the hotel's indoor pool, hot tubs, steam room, sauna, or patio. Lobstick Lodge also offers laundry facilities, valet service, and gift shop.
Lobstick Lodge's 139 guestrooms are all furnished with irons and complimentary coffee and tea. Kitchenette suites are available.
