"Basic no-frills motel, not a lot of amenities, but very clean, seems well kept up. No-smoking room really was (no smoke odour). Comfortable bed. TV worked. Shower worked. What else do you need for a short stay?"

Dennis from Scarborough, ON CA stayed on April 29, 2006
"I stayed in two different rooms, double and single. The washroom in the double was too small. One can barely turn around and I am not a big person. The washroom in the single was slightly bigger but in poor condition(tub caulk was mouldy and peeling).
In the single room the walls were dirty, lighting was poor, the TV reception was also poor and the remote was broken. The air conditioner was so loud on low speed that one could not sleep. In both rooms the heat could not be controlled.
There was a lack of shampoo and soap in both rooms and the single room only had a very thin bath towel in it.
I will never stay there again."

"Even thought my room was designated "non-smoking," it was across the hall from "smoking" rooms, meaning that the halls smelled strongly of cigarette smoke."

"No hot water for showers in morning. Sink nearly plugged - water went down, but so slowly we had to wait to rinse our toothbrushes.
Bathroom so small it felt like a broom closet. Pillows terrible - we had to go out and buy some. WHen we reported problems, all we got was "thank you for telling us" - no apology even.
By the way, CAROLE CHAMBERLIN reserved and signed for room .. NOT JOHN CHAMBERLIN - check your facts if you're going to send people surveys!!!"

Herbert from St.catharines, ON CA stayed on August 30, 2004
"Small point, but my wife wanted to take a bath rather than shower. The drain plug didn't work. Perhaps they are non-functional intentionally, but it was a little inconvenient plugging the drain with a wash cloth.
Otherwise, we wanted a clean place to rest for a night. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
Thanks."

Alexander from Tiverton, ON CA stayed on August 22, 2004
"The rooms were very small. Some sockets in the room didnt work. Wall paper was peelings off in some locations. The view out of the window showed lots of broken glass and debris on the outside roof. parking for larger vehicles (pick up trucks) was difficult. Staff was decent and very friendly. Security was a concern, as fire exit was open all night. Revellers at 3;30am were not controlled and a guest eventually had to shut down the party.
All in all, not a great experience, this hotel needs some major work on its infrastructure. It seems like no money is being spent to keep the facility up to snuff."

Alex from Orleans, ON CA stayed on February 18, 2004
"I would recommend but only as a good value for a short time spent. Room was small, bathroom was clean but very small. No shampoo supplied, only soap. Ice machine was out of order on arrival and was still out of order the next day.
Rooms are located as such to provide good resistance to traffic noise which made it very quiet.
It is located within blocks of downtown stores and shopping malls and makes walking a possible option but only in good weather but not practical for carrying goods any distance from the malls etc."

"The power in our rooms kept on going off. It went off at night when temperature was -20 celcius. We were asleep and it was freezing. The heating needs improvement.
The bed sheets have some kind of static problem. We kept on experiencing sparks under the cover.
Parking space was hard to find. Need more organize parking arrangements."
