"The location next to the Metro terminal was very convenient with easy access to most places in the City. Access to the hotel by car was easy the free parking was useful. The hotel restaurant does not provide lunch at weekends and is closed Sunday evenings but the Metro terminal has a foodstore and cafes. Our room was comfortable but lacked a refrigerator."

"For the convenience, Sandman Hotel probably has one of the best locations off of the bridge going into Old Montreal and downtown Montreal. For the money, it has one of the best buys for a 3 star hotel. Customer service from the desk to the housekeeping and maintenance is great. Flickering bulb in the hallway was replaced right away."

"Free parking with the subway adjacent to the hotel is convenient if you have the physical ability to manage the subway's many steps. The many shops located underground with the subway make picking up a sandwich, beer, or breakfast fixings easy.
Our room with 2 queen beds had all the basic amenities including hair dryer, iron, and timy coffee maker. There was no fridge. The bathroom had a grab bar in the tub.
We arranged an expensive ($C84/2 with 10% AAA discount)Gray Line 1/2 day city tour as my 86 year-old mother was pretty tired after using the subway. The hotel clerk didn't tell us that outlying hotels didn't get transport back to the hotel until the full-day tours were completed at 5:30 pm - so we had to use the subway again (after leaving 2 extra subway tickets for the maid :-(...
Subways are easy to use (hotel has map) and have all kinds of underground shopping and entertainment if the outside weather were inclement. Tickets are $C2.50 or 6 for about $C11.70. If one is physically able to use the subway - that was terrific. There is a large bus station attached to the subway - so public transport is exceptionally easy. Driving in Montreal City is expensive and should be avoided if possible. We "averaged" no more than 20 mph the first 40 minutes on our 2:50 pm departure. Montreal was a fantastic destination: friendly "foreign", clean and comparable to most USA cities cost. But 14.5% taxes on almost everything does add up: a $C20 lunch with tax and tip becomes $C26; $C10 souvenir is $C11.50, etc."

"Besides the adult swimming pool, there is also a wading pool. This was perfect for me as I had my 2 small grandchildren with me. They spent so much time playing in this pool that it was really worth it."

"After we arrived at this hotel, we sat in the parking lot for a while to consider our choice. We did not like the appearance of the hotel nor its location. Consequently, we secured a reservation in Burlington VT and cancelled our reservation for this hotel. We will not return."
