"toilet didn't work and they charged for drinking water in our rooms, which was free at every other hotel I stayed in Mexico."

"Some of the restaurant staff was a bit discriminatory but the location near the ruins was excellent."

"Need more lights on pathways. At night it is pitch dark with no lights whatsover on the grounds. Had to leave for airport at 2AM and had to stumble in dark to get to main lobby.
Food and service were great at restaurants. Menu selections in ala carte restaurant were lacking (not many choices).
Bungalows very romantic.
Would like to see hair dryers and alarm clocks in rooms and more than 2 TV channels."

Jeffrey from Muenchen, DE stayed on May 12, 2004
"We arrived mid-afternoon only to be given the wrong room - I had reserved and paid for something better. When we realised the mistake it took me TWO HOURS and three separate trips to reception (ten minutes walk away - the phone didn't work, either) to get us moved to appropriate accommodation. They then didn't have a key for the room they subsequently gave us - so every time we wanted to "go home" we had to go to reception first and they'd send someone down with a master key (eventually) to let us in. Neither room had a remote control for the TV (both should have done), and when I asked for one it took several hours for it to turn up. I paid $188 for the night, and I've been treated far better in hostels. They displayed no sense of urgency at any time, and were obviously not in the least bit concerned as to whether we enjoyed our stay or not - in fact they were visibly annoyed by my refusal to accept second best. It's a beautiful hotel in an amazing location, but the front desk staff spoil the experience completely. Oh, and I'd advise you to avoid the evening buffet - the food was extremely ordinary and could have been had at any local restaurant for about a fifth of the price. A la carte was around the same price and, I'm guessing, represents far better value."
