"I booked this room from your site, clearly indicating ( I have the copy ) that this is a two bed ( one single one double ) room at 180 Euro. The personnel contested this ( !!! ) and said that the rate is 190. Although they admitted that the discepancy is not my responsibility and that they would respect the confirmation I presented, I later saw a 190 Euro charge on my Mastrecard !!!
1. This room was very small for a 2 bed room, it was probably "converted" for the high demand during Euro soccer tournament
2. We were charged for the bottled water in the room ( which was placed on a little table, were usually hotels place their complimentary treats ! I have heard of charges for liquors, but if they can't afford to offer a bottle of water at 180 Euro per night !!! this is unheard of !
3. A 2 minute local call to a cell # cost me 12 Euro !!! If this is the actual rate, noone could afford or call to a cell in Portugal ! I haven't investigated this, but does it sound resonable to you ?
I don't really care what you will do about this, I didn't let this spoil my otherwise excellent experience in Portugal, but I would appreciate if the Best Western franchise is informed in some way. Please respect my anonymity.
