"We arrived just as the staff was decorating the tree--the whole experience was lovely. My only problem was room location. I use crutches and had requested a shower chair for the room (which was provided)so it was obvious I have walking problems. Our room (119) was as far away from the elevators as it is possible to get. I know I could have asked for a move but as we were staying only two nights I didn't think it was worth the trouble. But I do think the desk staff might have put 2 and 2 together and not assigned us that room in the first place."

The Claremont Resort and Spa is located on 22 acres overlooking San Francisco Bay, approximately 18 miles from Oakland International Airport, and 25 miles from San Francisco International Airport. Nestled in the beautiful hills facing one of the worlds great travel destinations, the Claremont Resort and Spa opened in 1915 and gained a reputation as a retreat for wealthy San Franciscans to escape the fog on the sunny side of the Bay. Just 12 miles to downtown San Francisco and an hour's drive to California's renowned wine country, the Claremont's location makes it ideal for business or pleasure.
The Club at Claremont includes two pools, 10 tennis courts, a children's program, and a newly renovated 20,000-square-foot fitness center. The Spa Claremont features an array of deluxe beauty, body, and massage treatments. Onsite dining options include Jordan's, a Four-Diamond venue featuring seasonal cuisine influenced by a Pacific Rim-style; the Paragon Bar & Cafe, a casual eatery with live music and outdoor seating; and the Bayview Cafe, serving light fare by the pool.
