Days Inn Busch Gardens Maingate

"We arrived very tired from being at Busch Gardens all day at 7:00 pm. The room was not satisfactory, but we thought we are just staying to sleep. As we got ready for bed, we started really noticing things such as the door didn't stay locked properly,mold around door,mattress were old and ripped, sheets did't fit and the mattress'were soiled, bathroom filthy, hair in tub drain, no stoppers for tub, cigarette burns on tub,carpet soiled, cigarette burns in blankets.The next morning I gave a list to the Manager and told her that I was not asking for my money back, because we did stay, only because we were so tired and didn't want to try to find another motel on a Saturday evening after 9 pm (when we noticed alot of the flaws).She was very condescending and arrogant and did not validate my feelings. She stated that they were renovating.I asked why we didn't get one of these and she said they were not ready.She said that she doesn't look at all the rooms and doesn't know how the rooms looked.She then asked me to sign the bill and said in a very rude tone,"have a nice day."There were 2 other employees at the desk and she was obviously attempting to impress them. "The desk clerk was very accomidating and helpful. The hotel seems old and needs remodeling. The tub and sink faucets ran constant and could not be shut off tight. The bathroom seemed to need a great deal of attention and the bed blanket and spread needs to be replaced. There was about a half inch gap around and under the door to the room where light and air came in and the windows were not clear."
