"I have stayed at most of the hotels in the Americus area, and kept choosing the Holiday Inn because it was cleaner and the service better. However, this particular stay, the door on the room would not close unless you played with the teeth at the lock - they would stick inside and not come out to catch when the door was closed. In addition, I was put in a room where there was no hot water in the bathroom - there was hot water at the sink area, but in the bathroom itself, the controls were on backwards and the water never got over being luke warm. In addition, whatever they cleaned the floor with, you stuck to the floor so footprints were left due to the residue on the floor. Other than the bathroom area, the room was clean. We had to ask for more towels because normally they have two towels in there, but there was only one towel and two hand towels and washclothes along with the rug towel for the floor. I would still recommend this hotel to others simply because it is cleaner - but please work on the bathrooms and insure they are clean and in working condition. I am wondering if the condition of the room was due to being a government discounted room - if so, you need to rethink how you are treating your government employees - you have no clue how we have to rough it around the world, and when we come home for a visit, we would like to be treated with a little more "umph"."

"The only complaint was I was told the continental breakfast ended at 10:00 a.m., and at 9:40 everything was already put up except for the coffee and a few bananas. This was upsetting to say the least."
