"Best hotel in Hilo area I believe. Very clean, nice atmosphere, good location, and a taste of old Hawaii. We enjoyed the very friendly service at the Queens restauraunt too. Breakfast was outstanding!
Stay away from Uncle Billy's next door for food, we had an unfortunate incident where they tried to overcharge for fooddrinks, and were not very gracious about acknowledging the error. It was obvious they had an attitude of "your rich, why should you care if we charge too much." No class at all, most disappointing."

"Tried to get to a shopping mall by bus, shuttle, no one had the schedule or bus route or alternative or any information. Next time we will rent a car as our own solution."
