"Room was not made up when we returned the following night. Experience was so poor, that we checked out and went to another hotel and still had to pay for the second night (check out was at 11am, we discovered the room not being made up at 6pm). It was worth paying twice for one night just to get out of the place - dirty and unkept."

"We had a dead car in the morning after our stay. Although we are AAA members, AAA had trouble getting roadside assistance to Effingham. Lady staffing the front desk at the Econo Lodge immediately and cheerfully called a friend who showed up within minutes and had us on our way in less than 1/2 hour. It had nothing to do with their "official" job, but it made a HUGE difference in our lives at that time!"
