"Staff were very friendly and helpful, enthusiastically directing me to the best place to get a bagel when I was jet-lagged and hungry. They also took care of our luggage while we went off to explore the city on foot. The hotel was clean, even the shared bathroom.
My chief complaint was that $100 a night for a small room with one double bed and no en-suite bathroom seems a bit steep, but perhaps I'm just not used to New York City prices."

"Quite clean and conveniently located but in dire need of a makeover.
Heating was uncontrollable and the room was liek a sauna."
