"Front desk staff was asked to do too much, and seemed unable to handle the assignments. They acted as concierge, and then didn't come through on the tickets I ordered through them. They had to send a Fed Ex package twice because they lost the airbill. The room service meal from the restaruant across the street was pathetic.
It was very clean and the room (including the bathroom) is spacious and well-appointed."

"Karen, the assistant manager, was tremendous. Johann, a bellman, actually refused a tip. Another bellman whose name I didn't get walked along rainy 50th street to get us a taxi, then gave us an umbrella to keep as we left for home."

"I wished the police would not sound so echoing in the middle of the night..that wakes you up...!
Other than that my 2 nights were perfect.
After spending 22 million dollars, I knew the "old" San Carlos, you guys look good.
Congratulations.

"I had asked if there would be any trouble getting a taxi at 6 AM on a Saturday. They said they wouold take care of it. They provided a car that had no medallion and no taxi meter, who tried to charge $50 for the trip to Laguardia, more than twice what a taxi would charge."

"The staff was very friendly and professional. We were met with a smile at the front desk, our bags were promptly taken, and when they realized that the room we booked was not available they immediately upgraded us not one, but two levels! The hotel is newly refurbished and very clean. We loved our stay."
