"Bathroom taps and shower control suffering from heavy use, probably need updating. Otherwise, we have found the Empire very comfortable, and have already returned for a second stay."

"Once this was a good plact to stay... when it was a Radisson. It is run down, poorly managed, poorly maintained. The folks at the desk try but they are working with a nothing condition. We would not stay there again."

"I have stayed at the Empire many times over the years. Its proximity to Lincoln Center is the main reason I like to stay there - I am an avid fan of the Metropolitan Opera.
I believe the breakfast room is a new feature since I last stayed there; in any case, I enjoyed being able to breakfast in the hotel."

"the rooms were average although it could do with a lick of paint, we really didnt spend that much time in the room because there was so much to do.There was no tea or coffee facilities in the room which was a pain in the mornings, the staff were very friendly and the location was excellent close to the subway, times square and central park!"

"We were very disappointed in the lack of amenities in terms of restaurants etc., in the hotel. The only meal available was breakfast, which we felt was overpriced for the average traveller, there were no other options for lunch or dinner and even breakfast was limited to a buffet.
We found the room to be extremely small and we could barely pass each other in the room....... The room was relatively clean but somewhat in need of "freshening up" i.e. old and very stained bathtub and sink etc. Overall it was not "awful" but we would seek alternative accommodation in the future in New York."
