""Would I recommend this hotel?" Good question. I am a firm believer in staying wherever my workshop or conference is being held, and I still think that is the best idea. However, the soda machines near our meeting rooms were out of soda. When the front desk was told this, they said, "Yes, we know", and smiled very nicely. It was not filled. The restaurant closet to the meeting room was closed, which meant we needed to walk to the other side of the Convention center. Not an easy task for half of the group, and then the restaurant (Chumley's) was not prepared nor able to accomodate the group. This first day had only about 55 people, what will they do the rest of the week when there are more than 100 just there for the same program I was there for? No where was there anything that said restaurants might vary their hours. I was one of those people that could not walk the distance. In order to have lunch, I had to order room service and pay $20 for a mediocre hamburger and a bottle (small) of water. Although I am not one of the planners for Plaid or Dewberry Designs, I am part of them; I will not suggest returning to the Scanticon for any more workshops. If I were in the area to visit Valley Forge, do a bit of sightseeing, this hotel would be ideal."

"Hotel is under rehab. They put us in a suite that was totally under construction--as was the entire floor. They movesd us to a single bedroom--saying that was all they had. At checkout, they said that we had booked thru Travelocity and there was nothing they could do about accdiomodasting us. They rudely said it was not their problem"
