"Yes I do have comments. Upon check in, one employee was busy on the phone with a customer while another was on a personal call which she did not attempt to end while we stood there and waited. After she finally got off the phone she was unclear on how to book our room in the computer and explained that she was new to the job. Because we had a handicapped person with us, we requested ground floor but she assigned us to the second floor. The other employee stepped in and helped so that we could have ground floor. When we got to our room, the AC was not blowing cold air, which we reported to the front desk. It was 95 degrees outside and we were sweating while trying to get ready for our evening out. We were brought an oscillating fan and told that there was nothing more that they could do. The very rude general manager on duty at 4:30 6/18 called the room to challenge whether or not we were telling the truth. She suggested that we were looking for a discount and offered to transfer us 15 minutes down the road to the other location. I told her that we booked this hotel because it was near the House of Blues where we were going that night and we would not like a discount, just a room with AC. She said that they were fully booked and that was the only room we could have. (At this point I wondered what happened to the 2nd floor room that was available five minutes before.) I then said that we should not have to pay for a room that did not provide what was promised. She said, "I don't see that happening," and hung up on me. A few minutes later, maintenance came by to be sure we had a fan and at that time he told us that this room had been on a wait for a new unit for 3 days, so that shows that they knew that it wasn't working. Everyone but the GM was very nice. When we returned from the HOB that night, our AC had been repaired and was working nicely. We did only pay half price.
